Amid financial problems, Green and her partner must move in with Green's mother, who is finally forced to confront her daughter's sexuality. As the mother immerses herself in her job at a nursing home, she starts to see parallels between her own life and her daughter's, and the elderly woman she cares for, who faces isolation and dementia.
