'Superhero Intersex' documents the resilience of three intersex activists in Turkey, showcasing their solidarity and strength despite immense pressure. Aslı Yasemin Bahar, Belgin Günay and Şerife Yurtseven draw attention to the rights violations, medical abuse and life experiences of intersex people through their own lives.

Join us for a critical discussion on bodily autonomy after our documentary screening of ‘Superhero Intersex’.
As traditional gender models and cis-white patriarchal norms reinforce gender determinism, they marginalise especially those who do not conform to binary expectations. This panel brings together a group of gender-diverse individuals for a talk on bodily consent, the impact of rigid binary structures and white gender determinism on gender-diverse bodies, and how different communities support each other in dismantling the gender regime, fostering a diverse sense of belonging.
