In a village deep in a forest inhabited by wild ele- phants, Pirati leads a house of Kinnar women, an ancient third-gender community, both revered and feared for their believed power to bless or curse. Pirati dreams of escaping with the man she loves, but when one of her daughters disappears, she is forced to investigate, and choose between love and her responsibility to her community.
