The film: Queer as Punk
This hilarious and witty documentary follows queer punk band 'Shh…Diam!' as they carve out spaces for their music and identities in Muslim-majority Malaysia. Challenging conservative traditions and religious extremism, they defiantly play gigs and protest on the streets for LGBTQIA+ rights.

We invite you to stay after the screening of 'Queer as Punk' to enjoy a music performance by Hazel Alva.
Hazel Alva is a queer musical comedian. She writes songs with a goal of making people laugh and feel less alone.
This year she premiered her first solo show TEXT ME BACK which is playing again on November 8th!
