A father’s sudden death leaves his teen son adrift in time. At 17 in a French village, the future beckons, but grief anchors him to the past. Lucas fumbles through a coming-of-age both rushed and stunted: he tries to support his mother through her loss, but when he follows his older brother to Paris for a week, he stumbles into juvenile misadventures.
