English (without subtitles)

It’s 1922, and aspiring writer, adventurer and socialite Vita Sackville-West initially wants to associate herself with Virginia Woolf to hone her own writing skills and move up in the literary establishment. Her advances towards the reserved Virginia ultimately prove successful, and a passionate love affair ensues that would profoundly change both women's lives and inspire Woolf's subversive genderbending novel ‘Orlando’—often dubbed the longest love letter in literature.

The Cinematheque has level access.
